"Kinijit" (Coalition for Unity and Democracy ) is a Party dedicated to bring Unity, Peace, and Prosperity to the Citizens of Ethiopia through a peaceful and democratic process.

Kinijit is derived from the merging of All Ethiopian Unity Party (AEUP), United Ethiopian Democratic Party-Medhin (UEDP-Medhin), Kestedamena and Ethiopian Democratic League.

Kinijit is committed to bring about the Rule of Law, and to free the beleaguered people of Ethiopia from the ethno-centrist dictatorial oppressive rule of EPRDF. It is the party set to honor the electoral voice of the people from the rigged election of May 15, 2005; that robbed the loud and Democratic voice of Ethiopians .

In the sprit of bringing democracy to the people of Ethiopia, Kinijit has worked and continues to work with all democratic parties. Above all, kinijit believes that UNITY is the key to bring an end to the mismanagement and abusive nepotistic rule of the ruling party.

On the May 15 election, Ethiopian people have made their choice loud and clear by voting for KINIJIT.

Kinijit stands as the vanguard party committed to implement democracy in Ethiopia and to replace despair with hope, to rise national aspiration, and to embrace freedom.

On that historical day millions of Ethiopians have showed their will and determination to taste and exercise the real democracy,as they said it - KINIJIT IS THE WAY !!
